Softball in Heaven * beyond death

Two 90-year-old women, Rose and Barb, had been friends all of their lives. When it was clear that Rose was dying, Barb visited her every day.


One day Barb said, 'Rose, we both loved playing women's softball all our lives, and we played all through high school. Please do me one favor: when you get to Heaven, somehow you must let me know if there's women's soft-ball there.'



Rose looked up at Barb from her death bed and said, 'Barb, you've been my best friend for many years. If it's at all possible, I'll do this favor for you.'


Shortly after that, Rose passed on.



At midnight the following Friday, Barb was awakened from a sound sleep by a blinding flash of white light and a voice calling out to her, 'Barb, Barb.'



'Who is it?' asked Barb, sitting up suddenly. 'Who is it?'


'Barb -- it's me, Rose.'


'You're not Rose. Rose just died.'


'I'm telling you, it's me, Rose,' insisted the voice.


'Rose! Where are you?'


'In Heaven,' replied Rose. 'I have some really good news and a little bad news.'


'Tell me the good news first,' said Barb.



The good news,' Rose said, 'is that there's Softball in Heaven. Better yet, all of our old buddies who died before us are here, too. Better than that, we're all young again.



Better still, it's always springtime, and it never rains or snows. And best of all, we can play softball all we want, and we never get tired.'



'That's fantastic,' said Barb. 'It's beyond my wildest dreams! So what's the bad news?'



'You're pitching Tuesday.'

ONE SUCCESS CAN MAKE A TOWN THRIVE.

• On Valentines day my husband and I went to a new steak house in a town of 3000 people. It was like Chicago in the night club scene! Contagious excitement could be felt in the air. Hope! People visibly spent more money.
• Couldn’t Obama’s stimulus package create that same contagious excitement of consumer spending?
• As the building of a more modern and improved American infrastructure visibly rises around us, wouldn’t the effect be Contagious Excitement?
• Didn’t our evolution need to start somewhere, good or bad? Often from crashing to the bottom, does great wisdom and improvement rise.

• There is no doubt that Rush Limbaugh is at his glory when a democrat gets in office. For Obama's entire term Rush will scream insults and warnings that will excite the Republicans and create contagious excitement.
• There is no doubt that Ron Paul gets a voice that IS HEARD,making warnings of dire doom through out Obam's term. Ron Paul, too, depends on the contagious excitement his words create.
• As much as I love Obama, his term was also created by Contagious Excitement…so much so that over two million people showed up for his inauguration.



CONTAGIOUS EXCITEMENT- THE BACK BONE OF SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS

• We see 2012 with fear that the end is near.
• If this happens, I believe that Contagious Excitement is the cause.
• As the world gets smaller, news and ideas spread within seconds.
• One scary warning, could create mass panic contagious excitement.
• We may meet our own end, by the very process that started the Universe.
• Contagious Excitement, creates “Big Bangs”


We have a chance to use contagious excitement towards hope and building, peace and brotherhood. Could 2012 be the enlightened age? It all depends on who we choose to follow with Contagiouos Excitement.
